Registered Nurse-Critical Care and Emergency in Toronto, ON
Helping Hands Nursing Services Inc. is looking for highly professional, experienced Registered Nurses qualified to work on Intensive Care Units and/ or Emergency Departments at its client facility. She/ he will be responsible for providing direct care to unstable patients under the supervision of the facility charge nurse.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessment, intervention, education and patient advocacy.
- Medication administration (oral, injection, intravenous).
- Initiation and maintenance of intravenous lines and infusion equipment devices
- Wound care and treatments.
- Oxygen therapy.
- Patient assessment.
- Multi-tasking and time management skills related to organizing and prioritizing care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in ICU and/ or Emergency
- Proof of competency of clinical skills relevant to the area of Critical Care and/or Emergency.
- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- Ability to accurately assess patient health status and anticipate / respond to potentially life threatening changes in patient health status.
- Must be able to perform all of the duties associated with this position; including but not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting, assisting patients, etc.
- Computer experience required)

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced critical care or emergency setting and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be confident and adaptable to working in a variety of clinical settings and facilities.
